Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well-established and growing manufacturer. Our client supply bespoke products to a range of industries and require an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who has a proven background working within a Sheet Metal Fabrication industry.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Sheet Metal Fabrication Position Overview
- Developing drawings for sheet metal fabrications
- Working within a close knit team of 5 Mechanical Design Engineers
- Utilising Solid works 3D CAD
- Creating technical assembly drawings for fabrications
- Utilising previous project drawings to be modified for current customer requirements
- Working to KPI's to reduce waste and optimise efficiency
- Research and development of new products
- Programming of CNC machinery using sheet metal CAD / CAM Software
Mechanical Design Engineer - Sheet Metal Fabrication Position Requirements
- Experience in sheet metal fabrications
- Knowledge of 3D CAD package Solidworks
- Practical problem solving mind set
- Able to work in a fast paced design environment
- Capable of working to deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Experience of working with sheet metal fabrication specific CAD/ CAM software desirable
- Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Based in a commutable distance of Derby
- Full UK Driving License
Mechanical Design Engineer - Sheet Metal Fabrication Position Remuneration
- Salary GBP20,000 - GBP30,000 - Dependent upon experience
- 33 Days Holiday, including Bank Holidays
- 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. Core hours 08:00 - 16:00 with some flexibility.
