You will be joining the school in ASAP as a cover supervisor across all year groups. It will be your responsibility to cover English classes in the absence of the teacher- giving you firsthand experience of what it is like to manage a full class of Secondary pupils. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their teaching career as you will be able to develop your initial teaching skills- class management, lesson delivery and teaching style. For the right candidate, there will also be the opportunity to remain with the school, the following academic year, to train as a secondary school teacher.

The school in question is based in Greenwich and is extremely supportive of nurturing teaching talent. There are a number of graduates in the school who are looking to start their teaching careers, so you will not be alone in your desire to begin your professional adventure. Full support and guidance is on offer to all members of staff and the school take a collaborative approach to planning and assessment.

Some previous experience of working with children is essential- teaching assistant, youth work, tutoring, etc... This is vital as the school will be looking to meet with candidates who have a clear aptitude for working with secondary aged pupils. Prior experience will also demonstrate your commitment to teaching.

This position will start ASAP with interviews taking place as soon as possible. Respond with this advert with your CV, or call Sonny at Academics to find out more .
