We are working with a fast growing business and technology consultancy, based in Egham, Surrey.

Our client is looking for an HR Assistant, with a passion to succeed, to come in and make the role their own as well as being given the right tools to progress within the company quickly, with a chance to build the department from the ground up.

Their main focus is helping clients achieve greater organisational agility by streamlining their core business functions. They offer a full breadth of services from strategy and assurance through to architecture, design, implementation, and managed services.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week).

The Role

As an HR Assistant, you will assist the Operations Director with the day-to-day human resources activity for the organisation, as well as support the recruitment, employee relations, induction, health and safety and training processes. Your responsibilities will include:

* Provide the initial HR advice to both the Directors and Managers within the Group across multi-sites.
* Maintain, monitor and inform regarding HR metrics and hot topics.
* Assist with the monthly payroll, P11D, P60, pension and tax processes.
* Assist with the recruitment campaigns and assessment days.
* Preparation of job offers, contracts and amendments.
* Assist with employee relations processes such as first level disciplinary and grievance meetings.
* Attend probation review meetings and provide follow-up letters.
* Processing new starters, leavers and induction paperwork.
* Drafting reports and letters in relation to human resource issues.
* Ensure all employment, environmental, Health & Safety and other policies are strictly adhered to, operating within the law at all times.
* Develop and maintain professional and positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and external representatives.
* Plan ahead and manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are achieved to the deadline, achieving optimum economy and the highest-possible accuracy.

Skills and Experience Required

As an HR Assistant, it is essential that you have:

* Worked in a Head Office role or similar
* Basic HR knowledge experience as a minimum
* The ability to prioritise workloads
* Strong communication skills
* An up to date working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* An excellent command of English Language with writing skills to match
* The ability to work to tight deadlines
* Knowledge of Xero payroll would be of benefit
* Currently studying for the CIPD qualification
