THE OPPORTUNITY:
An exciting opportunity for a production planning and materials control professional to join a successful manufacturing and distribution business, improving and developing production planning and materials control processes to support continued growth.
THE ROLE:
In this key role you will use your production planning and materials control experience, MRP skills and knowledge of manufacturing and operations to develop production plans that will meet demand and allow for scaling up of production capacity.
This will involve:
- Planning production requirements using the companies MRP system.
- Improving processes, information and MRP/ERP systems for increased accuracy and efficiency.
- Producing concise and accurate reports for management.
- Active management of stock levels to reduce risk of stock-outs.
- Line management of 1-2 people.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
To apply you should have:
- 3-5 years+ Production planning and materials control experience.
- Great MRP systems and IT skills, ideally you'll have improved or implemented MRP / ERP.
- High attention to detail and strong numeracy.
- Ability to analyse and solve complex production issues.
- Strong communication and decision making capability.
- Could line manage / lead a small team.
- Can deliver projects alongside day to day planning workload.
