East Cambridgeshire District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Support Officer to join their growing team based in Ely, East Cambridgeshire.
Job Title: Planning Support Officer
Location: Ely, East Cambridgeshire
Salary: GBP17,681 - GBP21,693 per annum + benefits
Hours: 37 per week - 8.45am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday & 8.45am - 4.30pm Friday
As our Planning Support Officer you will provide administrative and procedural support predominantly for the Department. Duties will include the processing of planning applications from submission to decision following set procedures and within agreed timescales using ICT systems.
You will liaise with the applicant or their agent regarding any anomalies, provide assistance to officers and customers, responding to enquiries generally, and maintain departmental records in order to provide statistical information for monitoring/research purposes.
You will need to have 3 GCSEs (to include English and Maths) or equivalent work experience, possess strong communication, administrative, organisational and time/workload management skills and be able to demonstrate relevant experience within a customer service environment.
