This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing a caring and compassionate service to people during some of their hardest days. My client is looking for someone with previous experience in providing this type of service. Who is also a strong leader capable of managing change and seeing and implementing service improvements.

You will be required to manage the resources and physical assets of the listed crematorium buildings together with the horticultural development, lay out and maintenance of the grounds of the crematorium and five large cemeteries covering 40 acres, enhancing an atmosphere of solace and respect.

You will also be responsible for compliance with: Ecclesiastical Law, Burial and Cremation Law, Environmental Protection Act, Local Authorities Cemeteries Order & The Cremation Code of Practice. Prepare/modify Rules & Regulations for the management of cemeteries and crematorium, agree with council committee and enforce.

This role will involve managing a team of up to 8 employees so previous management experience is essential along with a sound understanding of budget management and control.

Key requirements for the post include:

* Having a compassionate attitude, ensuring customer satisfaction and high quality services.
* Experience in controlling and delivering services of this type.
* Experience, or a detailed understanding, of legislation that surrounds these services.
* Evidence of providing customer facing services and supporting customers.
* Ability to lead, motivate, enthuse, inform and develop people, particularly in the context of changes to service delivery.
* Experience and knowledge of finance systems, budget monitoring and expenditure controls.

This role is initially until June 2019, on a 6 month temporary contract.

Rate of pay is GBP25.62 per hour working 37 hours per week, you will also receive 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
