East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) supports families and cares for children and young people with life threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Community Fundraising Assistant
Based: Ipswich, Suffolk
Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: GBP17,069 - GBP19,000 per annum
Due to a promotion within the current team, we are looking for a Community Fundraising Assistant to join our busy fundraising office in Suffolk.
A key member of the team, you will be an organised administrator with good interpersonal skills both on the telephone and face to face as building relationships with volunteers and supporters is highly important.
You will assist our Fundraisers in building relationships with existing EACH supporters to consolidate and secure income. You will support fundraising in community groups and from individuals within the Suffolk, through promoting a variety of activities, campaigns and events to enable the team to meet agreed annual income targets.
You will also take responsibility for the organisational logistics of particular projects (Gift of Care, In Memoriam gifts and Tribute Funds) within your regional team. You will recruit and supervise volunteers, as well as support and facilitate the development of volunteer networks and fundraising groups across the county
You will be working in a small but busy office and some evening and weekend working is expected, especially when working at fundraising events. Previous fundraising experience isn't essential and we welcome applications from individuals with the right transferable skills for this rewarding role.
