I'm currently working with a Local Authority in Hertfordshire who are looking for a Development Manager to join them for an initial 1 year contract, with the likely potential of extension. My client are willing to negotiate on pay rates for the right candidate and can offer flexible working arrangements. The IR35 status is yet to be determined.
Duties will include:
* Delivery of the Council's major planning application caseload (and working with other managers to ensure the delivery of sites allocated through the new Local Plan and the more routine casework).
* Contribute to the management and delivery of the whole planning and DM service
* Guide, mentor and develop junior staff to increase and maximise their potential
* Ensure the delivery of the service against the quality and timescale performance objectives
You will ideally be MRTPI accredited and must hold a degree relative to Town Planning. You should have previous Management experience in a range of Local Authorities.
