Teacher of MFL required in Selby

Principal Resourcing are currently seeking to appoint a qualified teacher of Modern Foreign Languages who is able to teach Spanish up to KS4, for a long term sickness cover to start in January 2019 and is to teach full time, 5 days a week. The Academy in question has an expanding language department and requires an excellent teacher to not only help maintain its current success but to help develop the department with their own creativity and innovation.

You will need to be able to teach Spanish up to GCSE and the ability to be able to offer French as an additional language will be an advantage. This is a multi-cultural Academy and all modern foreign languages will be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all of the planning, teaching and assessment involved with the role and this position would be suitable for either a newly qualified or experienced teacher.

What you will require:

• Relevant qualifications (Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert. Ed etc.) or equivalent
• Evidence of good classroom control
• A track record of demonstrating a strong ability to teach, plan and prepare lessons to Ofsted standards
• A strong and creative approach to teaching and raising attainment
• A commitment to develop the personalities, talents and abilities of all students
• A confident and positive approach to working with children
• The ability to be a proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement
• An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
• A passion for education within your subject
• A willingness and enthusiasm to commit to the expectations of the role and desire to contribute to extra-curricular responsibilities
• NQTs are very welcome to apply
• A current DBS registered with the Update Service or a DBS done through Principal Resourcing
