Job Title: Primary (Reception)Teacher

Manchester

Job Start: September 2018

I am recruiting for an EYFS (reception) teacher to work in a primary school based in Manchester. The school has a good Ofsted rating in all areas and is now on the way to becoming outstanding. You will be supported by a phase leader and a TA. PPA release is provided in year groups, so there are lots of opportunities to share the workload and collaborate in terms of ideas. This is a large school with class sizes of up to 30 pupils, all of whom, along with the staff and parents, are supportive and welcoming.

This role would suit either an NQT or a more experienced teacher who is seeking a new challenge and possibly some additional responsibilities. The size of the school and focus on staff development means there is a clear path for career opportunities. If you are an ambitious and dedicated primary practitioner, then this could be the ideal role for you.

With clear boundaries for behaviour, 'golden rules' and consistent but fair consequences, children understand the parameters and feel safe in school. The school nurture good behaviour through building relationships with pupils and engaging them in exciting learning experiences that respect individuals and build self-esteem.

The school believes that providing the best possible start helps to ensure lifelong learning success. Learning is designed to follow pupils' interests and each transition stage is carefully planned to ensure a smooth and worry-free progression.

The school provide a range of opportunities - including peer mentoring, pupil collaboration for learning projects and a thriving school council - to ensure that pupils are heard and know that their opinions are valued.

The school welcome applicants who believe that every child can succeed and can provide:

* QTS status

* good and outstanding classroom practice

* a secure understanding of the Early Year's curriculum and outcomes

* a commitment to raising achievement of all pupils

* a team player approach

* a commitment to their own professional development

* a willingness to collaborate with others and share good practice

The School offers:

* excellent induction and extensive CPD programme

* supportive performance management systems

The school has a strong ethos of student welfare therefore any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS). For more information please contact Tom Green at Empowering Learning Ltd
