Portfolio and Project Manager
Pay Rate: GBP350 - GBP500 per day (Ltd/Umbrella rate) inclusive
Duration: 3 month initial contract
Working Hours: 37 per week
Location: Liverpool
Who will you be working for?
The Charity Commission for England and Wales is the non-ministerial government department that regulates registered charities in England and Wales and maintains the Central Register of Charities. The Charity Commission answers directly to the UK Parliament rather than to Government ministers
What you will be doing?
The Commission's Change Management Office (CMO) supports the business to deliver lasting change in line with its strategic objectives. Working with senior responsible owners, project managers in the CMO initiate, plan, manage and deliver projects through to evidenced benefits realisation that are designed to transform the business. The CMO is also responsible for co-ordination, management and reporting of the portfolio of projects to the Portfolio Board, chaired by the CEO. This is a small close knit team that works constructively and openly with the business and IT teams to deliver change that sticks.
The incumbent will support the production of business cases and plans for key projects. Knowledge transfer to improve our management of the portfolio of projects would be helpful. This is not an IT PM role (as the IT team is responsible for delivery of technology solutions to meet the business need.) The focus is on good planning and management; business change implementation; and benefits realisation.
What can you bring to the role?
You will have both Project Management and Portfolio Management experience as well as a relevant Project Management qualification, as well as ideally having some form of change management experience. This is a small and busy team so a positive can do attitude is a must, as well as being a good team player that can interact well within a team. You will need to be business focussed and able to work in a highly pressurised environment that can change quickly.
Additional Information
Along with a competitive day rate you will be working at our site which has a host of onsite facilities such as a restaurant, caf?? and gym.
Although there is no onsite parking, there is a pay car park nearby used by staff, a train station a short walking distance away and regular bus routes.
