telent In-House Legal Advisor, Warwick, (Permanent)

We're looking for a pragmatic, commercially focused, legal professional to join our fun-loving and hard working team.
• You'll be in charge in supporting our procurement team on all things legal. You will:
• Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts and other commercial documentation;
• Advise and support the team at all stages of our projects from concept, through bidding, contract negotiation, contract delivery to contract closure;
• Develop the team with training and coaching;
•bAdvise on compliance matters relating to telent's supply chain, such as the Modern Slavery Act and Data Protection Act;
• Where needed, provide advice and support to all of our functions including estates/facilities, finance and HR.

Job Summary:
• To provide non-contentious and contentious legal advice and support. The role will primarily support telent's procurement team, but you may also be asked to support all areas of telent's business including HR, estates, corporate and finance.

Key Objectives:
• Provide high quality general commercial advice to telent's procurement team as required. This may include:
• preparation, review and negotiation of supplier contracts, including customer contract flowdowns;
• advising on compliance matters relating to telent's supply chain, such as the Modern Slavery Act and Data Protection Act;
• management of external advisors to ensure quality of advice, value for money and accurate budgeting/cash forecasting; and
• providing training and coaching to the procurement team.
• This role will also include advising all other aspects of telent's business in contentious and non-contentious matters as needed.

Essential Skills:
• English qualified solicitor/barrister (QLTT accepted) 1-3yr PQE
• Excellent communicator, able to provide pragmatic, commercially sound written and oral advice
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across all disciplines and seniority levels
• Flexible approach, able to adapt to change rapidly

Desirable Skills:
• In-house experience
• Construction contracts experience; knowledge of NEC and JCT suites of documents
