Training.

Often associated with a windowless room. Aircon turned up high. Everyone facing front. Pretending to be enthusiastic. Whilst somebody stands up front, droning on and on about something they have zero interest in.

Be honest. We've all been there.

But when you've got an award-winning training team in front of you, something magic starts to happen. People sit up, take notice, engage. They learn. They implement the learning. They develop.

As the Training & Development Coordinator for St Monica Trust, you're going to make sure the care sector as a whole is aware of our nationally recognised training programmes. Your goal is to help promote and sell our high-quality training services to other care providers. Your success will help other care providers train their teams to the highest standards that we set for ourselves. Plus you'll be growing a vital additional income stream for the Trust. In this role you'll develop not only your training coordination skills, but also your commercial skills - from customer service, to marketing and sales.

Day to day this means:

* Driving the promotion of our award-winning training courses to the wider care sector;

* Finding creative ways to build the profile of our training team - from online advertising, and blogging through to social media;

* Building a database of potential new customers, and positioning our training offer in a way they understand;

* Supporting the learning and development of our own colleagues by planning and monitoring training;

* Identifying and building relationships with external learning and development partners;

* Producing management information in relation to our training outputs;

* Organising course bookings, venues, technical equipment and course materials;

* Assisting team members with the development and preparation of course materials.

The Trust has built a reputation as one of Bristol's best employers. We'll care for you as much as we care for our residents. So in addition to the competitive salary you'll get many other benefits including:

* Plenty of holiday allowance. 6 weeks in fact when you include bank holidays. So you can rest when you need to;

* A good pension. We've got your covered;

* Loads of wellbeing initiatives. From mini-yoga sessions and free flu shots, through to lunchtime walks around our fabulous gardens.

Not everyone can be our new Training & Development Coordinator So if you're going to spend time applying, let's make sure you have what it takes. You're going to need:

* Qualifications: you won't always be sat behind a desk. There are many internal customers and external partners to meet across Bristol and North Somerset. So you'll need a full and valid driving license.

* Experience: designing, preparing and administering training programmes; management of budgets.

* Knowledge: working with MS Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel; awareness of different learning styles; project management.

* Skills: your communication skills are key to this role, and must be first-class. You'll also need to be highly organised, and adept at administering the training process. Your attention to details needs to be of a high standard.

So how about it? Can you see yourself as our Training & Development Coordinator?
