Capital Accountant

I am delighted to be working with our client to recruit the position of Management Accountant .The business is a well-known household name and has a reputation for developing their staff.

This position will require someone who has specific experience dealing with capital expenditure, depreciation, fixed assets register and the work in progress report (WIP).

Skills/Requirements:

• Full management of the Fixed Asset Register
• The posting and monthly analysis of depreciation, adjustments & disposals
• Preparation of journals, posting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Providing timely & accurate monthly financial reports with supporting commentary for key variances
• Responsible for capital expenditure and WIP reports
• Preparation of annual budgets for depreciation
• Assist in the completion of statutory returns and the completion of external audit requirements
• Preparation of the annual depreciation budget
• Responsible for the production and analysis of capital expenditure reporting
• Liaise with Internal & External Auditors on all fixed asset related matters

The Person/Experience

• Strong management accounting knowledge
• Accounting/Finance related degree
• Previous experience within a capital focused accounting role
• Actively studying for an ACCA / CIMA / AAT qualification
• Previous experience using SAP/Microsoft Dynamics Finance
• Strong analytical skills and experience manipulating large sets of data
