Salary: £21,784 - £23,096 per annum

Hours: 37 per week / 1FTE

Contract Type: Permanent

A varied and exciting role has arisen within the College’s Apprenticeship team. Supporting our learners to achieve success is without doubt hugely rewarding. We are looking to recruit a motivated individual with a background in literacy and numeracy support to continue our outstanding work with our Apprentices. You will be working with a diverse cohort of young people and will support them through from initial referral to achievement of their learning aims. This can take the form of 1:1 support session, working with small groups of learners or delivering intensive support sessions in preparation for functional skills exams or key milestones on their programme.

This will include working at various college sites, that include, Construction, Engineering, Automotive, Sport and also on occasions at the employer's premises. You will have the ability to devise and implement learning programmes to meet a range of needs. You will be able to work collaboratively with a cross section of the colleges teaching and support staff and you will show high levels of flexibility and innovation in order to achieve success. You will feel comfortable in providing regular reports on progress and maintaining detailed records of the interactions with our Apprentices. It is a role that requires on occasions to go the extra mile to facilitate success and you will have the skills and aptitude to ensure this is achieved.
