Job Purpose
Identify and develop new international business opportunities across a range of market sectors via air and ocean to / from all areas of the world. Experience in USA / Far East markets an advantage. The role includes contractual negotiations along with involvement in the implementation process, continued client contact with further development of other lanes of traffic. Generate and follow up of sales leads to a successful conclusion
Role requirements
1. Ensure that the company is profitable and margins are maximised via quotes and
tenders.
1. To plan and implement a programme of visits to existing and potential clients to
create and maintain awareness of the company's product range and to ensure
complete client satisfaction.
1. To abide with UK law, and policies and procedures set by the company.
1. Provide information on market opportunities and competitor activity and to assist in
the development of products and marketing plans.
1. To be a good colleague and always maintain a professional approach .
1. Provide technical support to clients, liaising as necessary with technical advice and
guidance.
1. Identify sales opportunities and negotiate within established policies to obtain
orders which meet sales objectives covering volume mix and margins.
8. To achieve target revenues as set out by the company
Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
Highly numerate and literate
Clear understanding of Import / Export procedures and principles
Being able to quote both ocean and air including surcharges an advantage
Targeting appropriate companies, monitoring sector activity and arranging client visits in a methodical manner
Winning new business and retaining /expanding existing business
To produce accurate monthly target revenue reports and well as updating CRM in NETFREIGHT with client activity on a regular basis.
Track record of achieving sales targets
Preparation of tenders, responding to tenders a requirement
PC skills in word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
Confident, articulate and well presented
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
An understanding of the HMRC regime an advantage
Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 (1hr lunch)
Car or Car allowance will be included
Provided with a mobile phone & laptop
