Data Protection Analyst

My client is looking for a junior data protection analyst to join their team and one of the fastest growing financial institutions in the UK.

The company is a large financial institution based in the heart of Canary Wharf.

They are looking for an a junior data protection Analyst to form part of the Information Security and Data Protection team, as part of the Risk Compliance and Technology Directorate. They are responsible for supporting internal teams in ensuring compliance with data protection regulation.

The Data Protection Analyst will also be the first line of support to outsourced service providers in addressing data protection queries and issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with data protection or a graduate that is used to dealing with complex pieces of legislation's and have knowledge of Data Protection legislation. Experience of contract management, customer service, product design, or other work experience which has exposure to individual data subject rights or formal complaint handling.

The role will include:
" Assisting with the production of reporting for senior management including the Head of Information Security and Data Protection, Director of Compliance, Data Protection Officer, Executive Board, Risk Committee and Governing Body.
" Researching Data Protection Impact Assessments on business or technical change, and identifying and assessing risk, identify treatment options and discussing the options with internal customers.
" Assist the 2nd line Compliance Assurance Team to ensure an adequate coverage of data protection compliance.
" Assist the Data Protection Manager in working with the Procurement team and general counsel directorate to ensure contracts have the appropriate data protection clauses as required

As the successful candidate you will receive between £36,000 - £38,000 per annum and exceptional benefits.
