Digital Business Analyst
Based Ashford, Kent
Job purpose
To capture and elaborate customer requirements, and work with our engineering teams to plan and deliver value in an agile delivery model.
For business-facing solutions, the role will work with business teams to analyse problems, and ideas, map required process changes, and describe features for delivery.
For customer-facing products and solutions such as web, ecommerce and mobile apps, the role will work with customer feedback and analytics, to identify changes and new features, and establish feasibility and deliverability.
You will work with key stakeholders across the business to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate changes to processes and systems, and ensure user stories and requirements are sufficiently well articulated to enable sizing, prioritisation and scheduling.
This will include developing a sound knowledge of our user needs, core systems and associated business processes. You will be able to understand customer pain points, business issues and data challenges relevant to the ongoing development of technology platforms and solutions.
Role context
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, this role actively supports the definition of user stories for digital products and solutions. It also supports all team members in defining work to be done, prioritising requirements, and capturing demand. The role will also require working closely with Project Leads to understand the dependencies and activities outside the team
Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies

• Demonstrable experience of ability to operate in agile environments and within waterfall constraints

• Experience of requirements discovery, elicitation and analysing methods, such as business process modelling, UML, epics, user stories, use cases, user & system flows, prototyping

• Business Analysis skills with experience of working with product-led methods and practices for continuous delivery of digital solutions

• Experience of digital customer experience and obsessed with understanding customer behaviour and commercial benefits

• Measurable track record of providing business analysis techniques and tools to deliver change.

• Experience in service-oriented, customer-facing industries (ideally within retail e-commerce).

• Demonstrable track record of workshop facilitation, documentation analysis, interviewing and brainstorming.

• Excellent analytical and commercial reasoning skills

• First rate interpersonal skills

• Communication and stakeholder management skills

• Outstanding communication skills. Fluent in verbal and written English.

• Understanding of relevant digital technologies, with the ability to harness their potential to drive customer and business value

• Able to maintain strong customer focus while balancing business requirements and goals

• Full understanding of the project and product lifecycle

• Adaptable to changing priorities

• Able to work on own initiative and anticipate workloads

• Awareness of targets and constraints and ability to work to these

• Understanding of commercial needs and how they are delivered

• Passion for great technology and customer experience

• Aptitude for innovation
