Salary negotiable for the right person

Full time (37 hours per week) 28 days annual holiday rising to 30 days after 5 years

A job share arrangement would be considered for the right candidates.

We have an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to join our Multi Academy Trust. Established following a direct approach by the DfE and currently consists of two schools: Goffs and Goffs-Churchgate, with further schools expected to join this year, including nursery provision. Our vision for the Trust is to educate and nurture children from their first days at school, to young adulthood at 18 years of age. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager who will lead on day to day financial activity of the Trust, work closely with the leadership teams and CFO, lead in ensuring sound financial management and the financial integration of new schools as the Trust expands.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: 

  • proven track record in leading a finance function ensuring sound financial controls and producing and interpreting management accounts, financial forecasts and statutory returns
  • strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decisions and communicate clearly with staff at all levels including Trustees
  • excellent IT skills with the ability to manage, manipulate and interpret financial data to inform the strategic decisions of the Trust
  • the drive and ambition to develop the finance function to be the best that it can be through robust management and leadership of the Finance Team and its activities

Relevant qualifications in finance and accountancy are (CIPFA, AAT. ACCA CIMA) or equivalent are desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will need to be flexible regarding working hours and location to meet the demands of the business.
