Vehicle Service Technician

Addison Lee Europe’s largest ground transportation company are seeking skilled and experienced Vehicle Technicians to join our brand new, purpose-built state of the art workshop in Hayes (UB3). The workshop services a fleet of over 5000 vehicles including Ford Galaxy’s, Toyota Prius and Mercedes E-class & S-Class cars.  

The role of the Vehicle Service & Repair Technician is a vital one as it’s this team that keeps our vehicles running and allows us to provide a premium service across London. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service as well as providing expert training to our staff throughout the course of their career.  

Shifts:

Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:30 including every Sunday 08:00 – 16:30 – Salary £32,400 per annum

Monday – Friday 14:30- 23:00 including alternate Sundays 08:00- 16:30 – Salary £31,700 per annum

Main Duties

• Vehicle maintenance, repairs and full servicing
• Fault finding and diagnostic work
• Working to manufacturer repair time guidelines
• Replacing clutches, timing belts and engines
• Warranty work
• Giving advice to drivers relating to any repairs carried out
• Basic administration
• Any other duties as required by management

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience of working in a similar workshop or repair centre environment
• A relevant vehicle maintenance qualification – at least NVQ Level 2 or upwards, or an equivalent City & Guilds or similar qualification
• Experience with diagnostic fault-finding equipment
• An ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
• Time management and organisation skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
