Overpayments Recovery Officers
You will be part of a team responsible for collecting overpaid Housing Benefit, including working with customers to agree payment arrangements and recovery action where payments are overdue, court action, Attachments of Earnings etc.
If you’re experienced in these areas of work already, that will be great. If you’re not, but have other skills and experience which are what we’re looking for, we’ll provide top-notch training, in the classroom and on-the-job.
We’d like you to be:
- A fantastic people person, who will fit in well with our team;
- Good with numbers and words;
- Great at talking to people, in person and in writing;
- Dedicated to delivering an excellent service to our customers;
- An experienced negotiator, with realistic expectations;
- Obsessed with accuracy and working to the highest standard;
- Competent in using different computer systems although, again, full training will be given;
- Able to meet performance targets and work to deadlines.
All positions are for 37.5 hours per week. The starting salary is in the range £16,500 - £18,000, increasing after 6 months and 12 months, depending on performance. Annual leave entitlement begins at 23 days a year plus statutory public holidays, rising to 27 days with service.
If you are interested in applying, please email an up-to-date CV to mark.bennett@capita.co.uk, letting us know which job you’re interested in (or both!)
Closing date: 14th December 2018.
Interviews will take place very early in the New Year.
