A number of our permanent, short breaks and shared care services are now looking for waking night support workers. We have current vacancies in Stockport, Manchester and Bolton. You will be supporting our young people who have learning difficulties, Autism spectrum conditions and other complex needs.
As our Residential Waking Night Support Worker…
You will support children aged 5 – 18 years of age, being a positive and supportive role model and encouraging confidence, self-esteem and essential life skills.
Waking night staff support the children and young people throughout the night with complex bedtime routines they do this with the person-centred specialist support provided by our day teams. This includes supporting our young people with ASC and associated difficulties which may include; personal care, administration of medication, and supporting them with their morning routines. You will also be expected to complete some administration / report writing, light housework and may undertake shifts of lone working.

Experience is essential – experience of working with children with physical and learning disabilities would be a distinct advantage. We also ask that you are willing to complete QCF Level 3 in Caring for Young People within a residential setting if you do not already hold this. As our teams offer 24/7 support you will need to be flexible and willing to work shifts (weekends and potentially providing support on the young people’s annual holiday).
