Role: Business Development Manager (metering, data services or smart meter)
Salary: up to GBP40k DOE + commission
Location: Homebased

Key responsibilities
- Develop industry-leading understanding of Suppliers and how the business can help
- Increase the company's share of business with existing Suppliers and open new relationships
- Working with the Heads of BD and AM and lead negotiations with Suppliers
- Leverage Supplier relationships to enable the Sales team to deliver customer growth
- Manage sales pipeline, making recommendations to maximise conversion
- Prepare monthly market and sales activity updates
- Cross-sell products and services based on a deep understanding of each Suppliers needs
- Develop a strong industry network
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience and Skills Required
- Proven track record in a sales, business development or entrepreneurial environment
- Knowledge of metering, data services or smart metering
- Passion for the energy sector, and transforming the energy sector through technology
- Strategic thinker who can apply a range of analytical techniques to prioritise activities
- Confidently handles complex sales and negotiation processes
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Able to time manage between short term reactive and proactively achieving key business goals
