Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer job in Melton Mowbray. Shifts: 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday

Established in 1960 on a small site with 15 employees, this company now spans across 20 countries in North America, Europe and Australia and comprises of approximately 150 divisions employing more than 20,000 people. In the UK, the company brand has been in existence since 1999 and continues to grow from strength to strength, supplying into the construction industry UK wide. Due to increased production a new vacancy has arisen for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the production site at Melton Mowbray.
Your new role
You will be required to drive Engineering activities towards world-class performance and make continuous improvements to standard practice. Your main duties will include:
* Keep machinery in production through PPM and dealing with unexpected breakdowns
* Drive departments 5s campaigns and demonstrate 5s expansion as part of daily cadence
* Promotes self-improvement
* Received and issues permits to work and ensure engineering work is carried out to H&S, environmental and engineering standards
* Assisting with the training and coaching with the apprentices
* Implementation and support of HASSARD assessment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer form a manufacturing background. You will hold suitable qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance engineering. You have practical experience of PLC fault finding, strong fault diagnosis and ratification skills on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulics systems. You also can demonstrate good knowledge of PPM and continuous improvement systems. You are a team player who can work efficiently, pro-actively and meticulously. You are always looking for ways to make improvements and understand the importance of keeping machinery downtime to a minimum.
