Field Technicians NO2 - Water Mains Cleaning (Nightshift)
Our client a main contractor on Scottish Water is looking for Field Technicians No2 - Water Mains Cleaning (Night shift) in the Orkney Mainland area to join a team starting on a long-term contract.
Salary would be dependent on experience.
This is an excellent opportunity working for the right candidates to join a successful company with over 1000 personnel within the UK water industry.
As a Field Technician (No 2) within the Flushing Team you will be part of a two-man team (usually working nights) reporting to the (No 1) Field Technician and assisting with completion of required site based work.
Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
You will assist with identifying problems, potential solutions and escalating any issues as required and help with all allocated work.
??Provide information to allow daily updates to be completed.
??Assist with dealing with any site issues raised.
??Attend office and site-based meetings.
??Quality & Adherence to H&S of Works.
??Ensure DOMS compliance on site.
??Interact with Customers in a professional manner always.
??Rectify/advise on site and technical issues
??Promote good working practices
??Monitor Flushing programme and report any onsite issues that affect progress to Field Technician (No 1).
??Reporting of any site issues to Supervisor/ Project Manager
Essential Experience/Qualifications
??Clean Driving Licence
??Previous involvement in Water Network Operations
??Must have the ability to coach individuals effectively
??Hold a valid EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
??Hold a valid EUSR DOMS (Distribution, Operations, Maintenance, Strategy) Card
??Hold a valid NRSWA Card.
??Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
??Willingness to work adaptable days/nights as required
??Be IT literate to include use of PDA
