Working within a small dedicated team we are looking for a talented Electronics Engineer with experience in a low volume, high mix electro/mechanical assembly environment. This is a broad role and the ideal candidate will be able to support day to day issues encountered in production in addition to the normal duties. The candidate shall be capable of designing interface and power cabling for computing equipment and peripherals, Digital / Analogue transition PCBs and basic RF filtering. A working knowledge of Computer component operations is essential.
Responsibilities
* Engineering electronics sub-assemblies used in projects and products using contractors to augment company facilities.
* Attending and Participating in Project Design reviews engaging with Sales, Operations and Production teams
* Organise functional Test Routines for end-of-line product testing and work-in-progress sub-assemblies
* Assisting in the creation of manufacturing bills of materials and detailed work instructions for internal or external build
* To continuously improve quality and performance and maintain to companies ISO9001 accreditation
* To liaise with customers and suppliers
Key Requirements
* Minimum of HND in an Electronics Engineering or equivalent
* 5 years' experience
* Good working knowledge of ISO9001 or other quality standards
* Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and RFI suppression techniques
* Knowledge of Military EMC, Environmental and Security standards
Core Competencies and Desirables
* Practical knowledge of Computing Architecture i.e. Notebooks, Desktops, Servers, Printers, Scanners, Power products, Thin Clients
* Knowledge of Defence project working
* Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Take ownership of tasks and resolve issues with other Project Team members.
* CAD experience & PCB design software
* Knowledge of Secure Information Systems
* Knowledge of TEMPEST Information Assured products
Important Note
Security Clearance. You will be expected to achieve clearance level within 3-months' probation period as condition of employment. Basic security background checks will be performed on all successful candidates.
