HR Advisor - South West

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor to partner with Line Managers and to implement the Divisional HR and balanced business plans respectively. The key purpose of these roles is to provide advice, coaching and support to line managers on all aspects of HR including recruitment, diversity, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management and managing change including TUPE and restructuring. You will also work with the wider divisional and group HR team to deliver specific projects in line with the divisional people plan and Group HR business plan.
Operating as an integral part of the operational Area management team, you will be taking the lead on HR matters and support the area teams to help achieve the divisional business plans focusing on driving business growth and efficiencies, continuous improvement and innovation and collaboration across the business. You will work with operational teams to promote and drive the employee engagement agenda, supporting the development of actions plans. You will be required to provide advice and support on individual cases including disciplinary, grievance and employment law related situations, absence and performance management. Develop and coach line managers in effective people management activities to ensure a focus on value add priorities and dealing efficiently with HR operational activities.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a solid foundation of operational HR experience and will have experience of coaching and advising line managers. You'll be a team player with confidence and a 'can do' attitude and the ability to manage a varied workload with multiple stakeholders. Education / Qualifications:
• Ideally full CIPD or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
* Experience of business partnering line managers
* Experience in delivering projects (ideally within a trade unionised environment), including (but not restricted to) restructure programmes, change agendas, post TUPE / acquisition activities.
* Able to manage organisational change; including appropriate consultation.
* Appropriate case management at all disciplinary stages, up to and including ET's and all associated legal activities.
* Experience of individual and collective grievances, including experience of dealing with local and regional Trade Union representatives.
* Experience of developing employee engagement action plans, and a strong understanding of performance management processes, talent management processes & succession planning.
* Experienced in recruitment and selection processes.
* Learning & Development familiarity and ability to make appropriate interventions.
