Team Assistant

Our prestigious public sector client is looking for a Team Assistant to join their team.

This is a rewarding role dealing with the public, providing a quality service to the community. You will work with the general public with the support of the blood collection team to welcome blood donors and cover the after-donation refreshments area.

You will have excellent communication skills; be friendly and approachable and able to relate to staff and donors from all backgrounds.
You will be able to work well in a team environment and be professional in matters of confidentiality, security and honesty.
You will be customer focussed and be able to demonstrate high levels of customer care.

The role will require you to work on a bank to work variable hours and days including evening shifts, weekends and bank holidays with appropriate notice. Blood collection takes place in a variety of locations, requiring you to undertake journeys in the vehicles provided or in your own vehicle for up to 2 hours. You will be required to handle blood bags and a range of equipment and will involve the loading, unloading, assembling and dismantling of equipment on a daily basis including heavy objects up to 13kgs.

This is a temporary role for a minimum of three months paying £8 per hour for the first 12 weeks and £9 per hour thereafter.
