COACH BUILDER / JOINER / COACH MAKER

Commercial Consultants (UK) Ltd - The Engineering Recruitment Specialists, are working closely with a market leading designer and manufacturer of commercial vehicles. Due to business expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Coach Builder to join our Client's busy engineering workshop.
The Coach Builder / Body Fitter / Coach Maker will be responsible for fitting components and parts to the interior of exterior of commercial vehicles in a safety critical environmental along with ensuring our Client's assembled vehicles are of a high quality and safe working standard
The main responsibilities of the Coach Builder / Body Fitter / Coach Maker will be as follows:
* Stripping and fitting of a range of commercial vehicles
* General bodywork removal and refit
* Removal and refitting of interior trims
* Light mechanical work and general modifications to original vehicle build
* Panel beating and repairing any damaged exterior components.
The Coach Builder / Body Fitter / Coach Maker should have the following skills:
* Should know how to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches to ensure proper assembly
* Have good hand dexterity, with good eyesight
* Have experience with mechanical fitting and assembly (ideally within a manufacturing environment).
A qualification in body work, fabrication, coach building, welding, fitting or similar (City and Guilds or NVQ) or comparable trade papers from the Armed Forces, or a recognised indentured apprenticeship is ideal.
