GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a well established food manufacturing business, recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor / People Advisor to join the Human Resources / People Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a CIPD Level 3 - 5 qualified HR professional, to join a progressive food processing business offering real career development opportunities.
The HR Advisor Role:
To provide support to the HR Manager, in delivering a comprehensive, efficient and professional HR service to the site.
HR Advisor Responsibilities:
* Provide generalist HR advice and assistance to Managers and employees regarding HR policies, including disciplinary, grievance and absence cases.
* Advise Managers on good practice and legal compliance in recruitment activities and ensure internal recruitment and selection procedures are followed.
* Review and update existing HR policies in line with new employment legislation and best practice. Creating new HR polices to meet business needs.
* Conducting exit interviews, analysing the data and work with the HR Manager to feedback on any key trends and themes that result.
* Support the implementation and delivery of key HR Projects.
* Support the HR / People team in the delivery of organisational development activities such as cultural transition and change.
* Support HR functional excellence activities, to ensure the consistent application of people processes for example enhancing manager's tool kits.
* Take the lead in managing and collating all local & global HR Metrics such as monthly and quarterly metrics including turnover, headcount, absence and reward and recognition scheme. Analyse the data to identify trends and recommend possible solutions.
* Take the lead in managing work experience placements on site liaising with EH&S and line managers to ensure the placement is of value to both student and the business.
* Assist in the development and delivery of HR training to line managers, where appropriate, to up-skill manager capability in dealing with people related matters.
* Provide support to the HR / People team with regards to engagement activities on site, including Staff Forum, Charity events & more
* Manage the Site Induction processes, so new employees feel fully integrated into the business and are able to contribute quickly to the objectives of the business.
* Review and identify opportunities to improve HR processes so they remain "Fit for Purpose", providing all relevant stakeholders with clear and unambiguous information to enable informed decision making.
* Manage the internal communication framework in terms of people related matters.
* Portray a positive image of the company and its values in a professional manner at all times.
* Assume responsibility for the day to day management of the HR service to the direct workforce in the absence of the HR Manager.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified or time served with CPP qualification
* Proven HR generalist experience, ideally within Food Manufacturing environment
* Excellent IT Skills & Knowledge of Systems
* Excellent Communication/Interpersonal Skills
* Effective Time management and ability to manage a high workload
* Can do approach to tasks & duties
* Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels.
* Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with relevant contacts and colleagues
* Ability to manage projects, priorities and deliver to timescales with accuracy
* Good working knowledge of employment law and ability to translate this into business practice and operations.
