Services Manager
Scale PO3 points 38 to 41 Salary £34,106 - £37,107
The West Bridgford School is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced Services Manager. The post holder will need to be highly organised, innovative and work flexibly in supporting the day to day organisation and management of the school.
You will be responsible for eighty plus Associate Staff and will need to be an experienced and confident manager responsible for the team leaders across a range of service areas reporting directly to you i.e. catering and cleaning both of which are in-house. In addition, you will need to appoint and manage all other external contracts i.e. grounds maintenance and a range of other maintenance contracts across the school. You will play a key role in promoting and supporting the implementation of The West Bridgford School’s aims, policies and values and represent the Associate Staff as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
The postholder will work also work closely with the Estates Director for The Trust and will be expected to ”bid in” for and secure capital funding for the school from the central “conditional allocation” for The Trust. The postholder will need to monitor spend against any project awarded to the school. You will be trained in site management and health and safety. The post holder will report directly to the Principal.
This is a permanent, full time role and annual leave is expected to be taken within the school holiday period.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
