As a natural progression of their track record as a National Support School and National Teaching School, they made the considered decision to set up with the intent of raising standards of achievement and attainment for more students by developing, nurturing and supporting both primary and secondary academies.
They are now seeking to appoint a Full-time Finance Manager to support and develop the operation of the Finance Function across the Trust.
In the role you will assist the Chief Financial Officer in managing all aspects of finance across the Trust, preparing all consolidated reports for the Trust and completing all DFE, ESFA and other returns. Delivering best value procurement & income generation strategies, you will ensure the Trust’s financial strategy is implemented effectively.
Managing all Trust financial software and preparing consolidated monthly management accounts, along with annual financial statements, you will manage accounting systems & records and reconcile & input school payroll data. In addition, you will complete monthly reconciliations on all Trust control accounts, maintain financial records and assist the CFO in preparing budgets.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial management at a senior leadership level and hold a recognised accountancy/financial qualification or have relevant accounting experience. With excellent financial management and planning skills, along with experience of managing large and complex budgets, you will be able to analyse financial issues and interpret complex information, offering sound, reliable professional advice.
Experience working within a school environment is desirable but not essential. A Driving licence and use of own car is required.
