Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager on a 3 months contract with a possibility of an extension.
Purpose of the role - To Improve access to training and employment opportunities for local people and identify and address associated barriers to progression.
Duties/Responsibilities--
* Developing employability focussed training activity as part of the Workforce Delivery Strategy for Women into Work programmes
* Setting up and overseeing activity relating to the Area social mobility programme, including projects to help people find new routes into work
* To co-ordinate training focussed programmes with partner agencies, schools and employers
* We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic person to join a friendly and busy team to work with a range of partners on projects that really make a difference to our communities.
* Applicants will need excellent knowledge and experience of working with disadvantaged communities, as well as practical experience of designing and implementing effective intervention programmes to support access to training and employment opportunities.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications/Experience-
* Knowledge and extensive experience in working with disadvantaged communities
* Practical experience of designing and implementing effective intervention programmes to support access to training and employment opportunities.
* Knowledge and understanding of Government Policy in relation to the worklessness and employment and skills agenda
* Practical experience of working with community groups / organisations / social enterprises to build capacity, provide training / mentoring and 1:1 support
* Extensive experience of working with multi-agency partnerships
* 5 years' experience required
* Standard DBS check
* Driving license required
