Transport Planner vacancy in Manchester
Our client, a civil engineering and transport planning consultancy, are looking for a Transport Planner for their office in Manchester.
For this role you would have a degree in Geography or Civil Engineering/Transport planning and have some experience in a transport planning role with another consultancy. You would be experienced in the use of AutoCAD, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT and TRICS.
Our clients' prepare planning applications for new and regenerated development sites. Within this role you will help prepare Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, which include analysis of local accessibility for proposed developments, site access designs, and parking requirements, local and national planning policy, potential development impact on road, cycling, pedestrian and public transport infrastructure, and preparing strategies to support sustainable travel practices for future developments. You would also complete detailed planning-stage highway drawings using AutoCAD such as new access road and small highway improvement schemes.
