Landmarc Support Services is seeking an ambitious Finance Analyst who is looking to forward their career in an exciting and dynamic field, the successful candidate will be based in our Head Office on Salisbury Plain.
Landmarc Support Services has been supporting the Ministry of Defence for over a decade through its strong partnership together. Landmarc strives to ensure their military training estates are effective, sustainable and safe places to develop the armed forces.
What are the main duties for this position?
To ensure that finance analysis activities are carried out in a timely and accurate manner and focus on:
* General Ledger - ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting
* Balance Sheet - ensuring accurate monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and bank accounts
* Cash - Prepare and carry out invoicing of additional & core works through the MOD's payment mechanism
* Budgets and forecasts - support the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts and business plans
* Commercial support - monitoring compliance with the company's controls and procedures
What does the ideal person look like for this position?
* AAT or part-qualified, or with the drive to complete studies towards an accounting qualification
* Ability to travel to national meetings as and when required
* Knowledge of Finance and Accounting as a professional discipline gained through a level 6 qualification such as degree or equivalent working experience
* Knowledge of the monthly accounts cycle and business finance gained through previous accounts experience
* Knowledge of gaining financial insight gained through experience of carrying out financial analysis.
* Working with performance-checked multi service facilities and services contracts, preferably in an MOD environment
* Experience of Accounting packages such as Sage or desirably Microsoft Dynamics NAV
* Demonstrate keen analytic, organisational and problem solving skills
* Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Excel to a high standard
* Ability to work towards clearly defined deadlines while maintaining a high attention to detail.
* Enthusiastic to learn and take on new tasks
* Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers with a positive attitude and a can-do approach within a team
