We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled individual with specific expertise in Acoustic and ideally air quality consultancy to join a leading multidisciplinary environmental organisation specializing in noise, vibration and air quality with an office based in Bristol. You will join a team of industry experts with specialist skills in noise, vibration, air quality, Ecology, Sustainability and Contaminated land and have access to a number of prestigious projects within the transportation, residential, industrial, mining, energy and commercial sectors.
Qualifications
Minimum of first degree in a relevant subject area
Professional membership for relevant bodies i.e. MIOA, IAQM
Full driving license
Experience
Considerable consultancy experience in Acoustics and ideally air quality consultancy
Technically competent and IT proficient
The ability to demonstrate a proven track record in effective project management.
Proven technical ability in terms of problem solving and analytical thinking
Ability to manage time, resources and projects effectively
A proven track record of business development
Thorough understanding of noise and vibration principles, current standards, guidance and best practice
Ideally knowledge of air quality legislation at EU and UK level and proven experience of current atmospheric dispersion modelling packages and GIS
Duties
Overall Project Management responsibilities for project of various sizes
Develop and secure new business, negotiating with clients and contractors in order to develop existing relationships and to forge new business relationships
Expert advice in inquiries and planning appeals
Produce air quality reports and prepare proposals
Preparation of inputs for Environmental Statements
Noise Impact Assessments
Vibration Assessments
Construction and Demolition Noise Monitoring and Control
Planning and noise (PPG 24) assessments for residential developments
Industrial and commercial development schemes
Occupational noise and vibration assessments
Air Quality modeling and monitoring - AERMOD, ISC, CALINE, FDM
Advice on Sound Insulation and Acoustic Design
Air Quality Impact Assessments
Vibration prediction and monitoring
Projects
wastewater, highways, power stations, wind farms, waste management facilities, incinerators, quarries, ports, railways, biomass, boilers, residential, mining, industrial
