My client Secondary School urgently require degree educated Mathematics Graduates for the role of Maths Intervention Tutor within a highly rated, large Gravesend Secondary School.
The school sits within the top 10% of schools nationally in terms of results and is graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted across every area. They are seeking to continue their run of success in this year's student examinations with the appointment of two highly academic and supportive Maths Intervention Tutors.
The role of Maths Intervention Tutor is to work as a teaching or learning support assistant with small groups of pupils to provide additional tuition with mathematics class work and you will help give them the skills to cope well with exam pressure. The new Maths Intervention Tutors will be required to support pupils at both GCSE and A/AS Level.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who want to gain school-based experience before their PGCE or School Direct teacher training programme. The school even has its own partner teacher training school so if you perform well during the year you could even apply to their own teacher training for September 2019.
The ideal Maths Intervention Tutor will be someone who has tutored previously or has experience of working with children in an educational setting. You must hold a Maths degree or similar to be considered for this position.
