We are looking for a SC cleared Programme Manager ideally with MoD/Defence experience.

The Air ISTAR capability delivery team is responsible for the delivery of six major capability programmes for the Royal Air Force, including the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft; the MQ-9B Protector and MQ-9 Reaper Remotely Piloted Air Systems; the Airborne Warning and Control System Capability Sustainment Programme; the Shadow Accelerate Programme and Fixed Wing Manned Air Surveillance.

This posts is linked to the latter area, which comprises 2 programmes: FW MAS Transition, which is the programme to transfer the capability from the Army to the RAF; and the FW MAS Capability Rationalisation, which is the programme to rationalise and standardise the Islander and Defender fleets.

Timelines for the FW MAS transition are extremely taut and challenging with the mandated delivery of the transfer by 30 Apr 19. Following publication of the FW MAS Futures strategy, the intent is to conduct the capability and fleet changes for the Islander and Defender fleets in a short timescale, commencing in this FY.

To deliver success on these complex programmes at pace requires appropriate programme management, support and expertise. The specific tasks which would be delivered by this post would include:

-Work alongside the Programme Management Team to continue to develop key Pg artefacts such as the schedules, risk register, cost model etc.
-Develop programme mandate and definition documentation for the FW MAS capability delivery which will encompass the rationalisation of Islander and standardisation of the Defender fleet.
-Continued development of risk management plans for all FW-MAS programmes; development of Benefits Realisation Strategies and Plans; development of Assumption, Issue, Dependencies and Opportunity Strategies and Plans;
-Development (where appropriate) of Information Management Plan(s) and a Quality and Assurance Plan to enable a configuration control and change process for the programmes.
-Provide supporting output to provide the necessary capacity to deliver the programme successfully which includes the management of key programme information and supporting key governance activities Assist with the management of the FWMAS programmes
