Risk Business Analyst: Business Risk framework development
Our client, the London branch of an international banking group is looking to retain the services of a specialist contract business analyst to work in Risk and Control Governance.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the bank's Risk Management Framework (RMF) development
* Assessing the London Branch Business Model
* Risk Taxonomy
* Control Library
* MI & Reporting
* Control Monitoring
* Training and Comms for new Framework
This role is part of the Transformation & Change function which is responsible for designing and delivering change for the organisation.
The key objective of the overall transformation initiative is to provide the London Branch with a Change function and address regulatory, transformation and group migration/integration objectives.
The role of the business analyst is to gather, document & analyse the business requirements & needs, documenting those in key project documentation such as Business Requirements Document (BRD), and where required assist in the technical design of the solutions required.
Duties:
* Gather and analyse business requirements for change, using workshops with key business and SME stakeholders
* Document business requirements within a BRD, including obtaining sign-off from key stakeholders
* Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders
* Maintain and disseminate lists of workflows and application improvements
* Create key process maps and business rules flow
* Work with delivery teams to translate the end to end delivery requirements
* Work with the team to analyse issues, understand root cause and agree solutions
* Review requirements documents prepared by members of the delivery teams
* Perform business process modelling - investigating operational requirements, issues and opportunities to seek effective solutions
* Challenge the business where appropriate to manage expectations and highlight risks/issues
As part of the Transformation & Change team, may also support additional projects / assignments as required
Qualifications & Experience
* Considerable experience as a Business Analyst in Business Risk management.
* Demonstrable experience of developing Business risk frameworks and/or governance project.
* Experience of creating Process flows 'as is' and 'to be'
* Demonstrable experience producing project documentation, e.g. BRD
* Strong stakeholder management experience
* Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment
* Proven track record of delivering workshops to senior management
Rate - GBP400 to GBP600 pd
