Site Carpenters / Joiner / Roofer

Job Title: Site Carpenters (Roofing, First and Second Fix)

Location: Covering Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience - usual rates for excellent, qualified carpenters are between £150-£200 per day

Job type: Long term self-employed contract (under HMRC Construction Industry Scheme - CIS)

The Company, established in 2010, work with a handful of bespoke, high-end builders on prestigious multi-million pound builds around West and North London. With a full order book for 2019, they are looking for more carpenters to join the team on a regular basis.

The Role:

• Roofing works: installation of trusses; hand-cut roofs; dormers; hips; rafters; fascia & soffit; box gutters; barge boards; furrings; joists; etc.
• First Fix works: studwork; ply and plasterboard; sub-linings to doors; window boards; fitting of windows; insulation and ply to flat roof areas; etc.
• Second Fix works; door linings and stops; hanging of doors; architrave; skirting; shelving; thresholds; etc.

The Candidate;

• Driving licence and own vehicle
• Own tools & PPE
• CSCS Card (desirable)
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Wood Occupations: Site Carpentry or relevant/extensive experience
• Self-disciplined and tidy
