Job Description

Job Title: Wireman

Summary:

Under limited supervision, the Wireman will carry out panel wiring and electrical fitting for special purpose industrial air conditioning units for the IT industry.

Responsibilities:

Follows detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures

Responsible for quality control procedures

Report quality, process, and equipment problems to their Production Team Leader

Identify and select components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units

Makes own set-ups, alignments and adjustments maintaining tolerance in accordance with instructions

Provide hands on training to co-workers as needed

Complete daily production logs and time sheets

Maintain a clean and organized working environment

Turn off and lock off equipment when not in use

Performs other related duties as required by management

Additional Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel

The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus

Knowledge and Skill Required:

Previous Electrical Fitting experience advantageous but not essential

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Possess good verbal and written communication skills

Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality

Flexible and enthusiastic approach dealing with changing priorities

A team player with high personal standards

Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt

A live CSCS card would be an advantage but not essential
