The role
Due to huge growth in the business, we are currently seeking motivated and career-driven candidates to join our IT department within a Programming/Developer role. The company uses technology as a means to streamline our processes and service our high level customers and as such the need for Developers is becoming more critical to our business.

As Junior Developer/ Programmer, you will provide essential support to the Head of IT in various project based tasks relating to coding, programming and developing in house and bespoke software.

Project and development work will include use of Microsoft Excel with VBA and SQL Server and programming languages including C#

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with maintaining and developing bespoke software of an International, growing business that see's technology as crucial to our business. It is also ideal to forge a career in IT with a fast paced, growing and dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining deployed applications, written predominantly in Microsoft Excel with VBA and C#
- Assist in building smaller applications and supporting the senior developers in advancing these applications
- Eventually take on individual project and development work.
- Supporting the wider business with general desktop support where required

What we look for

Our ideal candidate will be confident, driven and motivated with an interest in pursuing a career in a leading international business. The applicant must have experience and working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages:
- VBA
- C#
- Java
- ASP
- Object Oriented Programming
Databases
- Microsoft SQL server and/or
- MYSQL

Other Application requirements:
- Recent IT or Computing degree (or equivalent) is desirable
- At least 1 year work experience within a programming role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Windows 7/10, and Office 2016 (essential)
- Excellent communication skills with a willingness to interact with users on a regular basis
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Mature and able to work in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Lives locally or willing to commute to Oldham/ Manchester area
- Right to work in the UK
