An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as an Infrastructure Assistant Project Manager for our team based in Exeter.

[b]The Role[/b]

As our Infrastructure Assistant Project Manager, you will assist with delivering Infrastructure projects safely and efficiently; from engineering review of initial scheme concepts, through define scheme requirements during outline design and pre-contract activities, to contractor management of Design & Build delivery partners, and handover of final schemes into operational use. Duties include:

*Assist the wider team to ensure we deliver projects safely, proactively managing health and welfare issues.*Support the Infrastructure Project Manager with the management and delivery of the Capital Projects within the company's Capital Programme.*Develop project specific delivery plans to ensure the successful completion of Infrastructure schemes.*Assume day to day responsibility for the delivery of projects, leading others within the business or suppliers to ensure the successful completion of specific projects from brief received from Strategic Client to take-over by Operations.*Ensure project inputs are met: Project setup, IPAC procedures, I.O workbooks, CDM.*Understand and manage the hydraulic, geotechnical, material, environmental and land impacts of every project throughout the engineering delivery life cycle.*Proactively coordinate activities undertaken by Contractors and their consultants along with SWW personnel identifying, managing and escalating issues when appropriate.*Hold progress and liaison meetings with Partners, Stakeholders and Service Providers, including attending Public meetings to support scheme delivery. Keep the relevant Infrastructure Project Manager advised of any development which could impact on the company.*Assist with leading the project team to ensure projects are delivered to time, quality, cost and profitability targets in accordance with best practice and in-house procedures.*Challenge scopes and costs to identify delivery efficiencies and ensure robust solutions.*Track & review performance of partners, consultants and contractors and provide structured feedback to the Infrastructure Project Manager.*Ensure efficient delivery of projects utilising the NEC suite of contracts and drive the delivery teams to out-perform the Regulatory contract and the K6 Determination.*Help to develop the culture and ethos of the H5O Delivery Team to facilitate the most efficient delivery of the Capital Programme ensuring the effective delivery of projects in accordance with agreed strategies, objectives and performance targets, including management of risks.

[b]The Ideal [/b][b]Infrastructure Assistant Project Manager[/b][b]:[/b]

*Ideally, Master's in civil engineering, aligned to Chartered Engineer requirements*Alternatively, Engineering degree or equivalent degree or equivalent experience*Experienced with and a strong commitment to health & safety including promoting a culture of awareness within the team*Technical knowledge in water / wastewater / infrastructure engineering / land development / utilities (including gas or power) or equivalent*Experience in the management of multiple projects from application to final account with a track record in consistent delivery to time, quality and budget*Strong customer service experience and ethic, with interpersonal skills to communicate effectively*Robust construction contract management experience from tendering to final account*Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally*Familiarity with preparation of monthly financial and progress reports for projects*Ability to both lead and work in a team*Ability to multi task and manage numerous priorities in a pressured environment
