Accountant/Financial Controller

This company has been a brand leader for the past 20 years in Gothic and alternative clothing with printed t-shirts and girls fitted garments being sold worldwide. They are passionate about their designs and are always looking to improve their service to an ever-expanding clientele.

This position would ideally suit a candidate with some experience and is able to face the challenges of a growing business with long term growth plans.

You will need to be able to work as part of a team, but also have the ability to self-manage your workload along with the book keepers. The job requires taking a great deal of initiative and showing care for the brand.

Job Functions:
- Responsible for managing the book-keepers.
- Running accounting packages Xero and submitting Vat Returns, EC Sales list and dealing with HMRC.
- Preparing quarterly management accounts for submission to various banks and preparing the end of the year account to be submitted to the accounting firm for the final adjustments.
- Dealing with the trade finance and invoice discounting, submitting reconciliations.
- Managing credit control
- Budget planning and producing various report, looking at the variances of sales trends.
- Preparing weekly payment plans for the suppliers.
- Cash flow forecasts and comparison to actual.
- Dealing with audits like the HSBC invoice finance.
- Organising Chinese imports and letters of credits
- Looking after employee records and keeping an eye on the PAYE of around 50 staff

Required Skills:
- ACCA
- Excellent overall computer literacy
- Microsoft Office - Excellent working knowledge of Excel functions required

Salary: 30-35k per year
