Eden Brown is delighted to be supporting Giggleswick School in the recruitment of a talented Development Manager. Gigglewick is a co-educational day and boarding school situated in the stunning rural location of the Yorkshire Dales, within walking distance of the popular market town of Settle, and just over an hour from both Leeds and Manchester.
What does the role involve?
This is an exciting and varied role, within a small collaborative environment, which values professionalism, integrity and 'can-do' attitude.
As Development Manager you will be responsible for fundraising across the Giggleswick community or parents, staff, alumni and friends of the school. This is a brand new role so you will be joining at a particularly exciting time in the schools development. Key tasks to include
- Developing new sources of funding for capital development and bursaries.
- To devise and implement an annual development plan to maximise fundraising income in support of strategic goals
- Manage and develop long term relationships with both current and potential supporters
- Stewardship of donors and research, solicitation and cultivation of potential donors
- Plan and implement cultivation events, individual meetings and presentations
- Oversee the management and maintenance of alumni and donor databases
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a passionate, energetic and highly motivated Fundraiser who will ideally come with fundraising and alumni relations experience. Applicants must have a deep understanding of fundraising and come with previous experience of working with major donors. You will have the ability to think strategically and have demonstrable experience of developing strategic, operational and financial plans into successful outcomes . A strong track record in delivering exciting, strategic campaigns that deliver against objectives is a must.
