Quality Inspector

I am currently looking for a Quality Inspector to work on a wide range of machine tool components in a broad spread of industries including Aerospace, Medical and Motorsport sectors.
Your main duties will include: -
* Creating standard and bespoke inspection reports
* Inspecting components
* Assisting with control of calibrated items
* Materials testing
* Reporting of non-conformances and assisting in the resulting investigation
* Dispatching parts, including final authorisation for release
* Assisting with Goods In and Stores activities
You will ideally Strong manufacturing background within the automotive or aerospace industry, with a good understanding of either Foreign Object Detection processes or contamination control processes
You will have the following qualifications & skills: -
* Training in use of standard inspection equipment (e.g. length / height / bore / thread gauges)
* Training in use of specialist inspection equipment (e.g. CMM, White Light Scanner, Hardness tester)
* Using and maintaining CMM / White Light Scanner
* Creating and completing First Article Inspection Reports
* Materials testing competence (e.g. porosity, hardness, surface roughness)
* Workshop skills for manufacture of jigs, go/no-go gauges
* Able to create engineering drawings from 3D CAD models
