Part Time Kitchen Porter, Cambridge University College, GBP9ph Monday - Friday 11:30 - 3pm
At Select Hospitality Cambridge we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Kitchen Porter.
A Prestigious Cambridge College situated in Cambridge City Centre. Servicing the requirements of students, fellows and commercial business
The Role
• To prepare and load the dishwashing machine with plates, glasses, service items, cutlery and kitchen equipment. Ensure dishwashing machines are loaded well to ensure breakages are minimal.
• To ensure that any broken items are reported and disposed of in a careful and safe manner according to the College policy.
• Empty and dispose of food waste and kitchen rubbish throughout and at the end of shifts. Ensure that a high level of hygiene is maintained in the department at all times.
• To make sure that COSHH regulations are followed when using/chemicals which are issued. Attend any relevant courses provided regarding chemicals by the College.
Experience and Skills required
•Domestic kitchen experience or in a similar role
•Understanding of HACCP & COSHH systems
•Ability to achieve and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
•Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Personal Characteristics
•A friendly and helpful approach
•Responsible and trustworthy
•Have the ability to work within a team
•Flexible approach and accepting of change
Salary and Benefits
•My client is offering the successful Kitchen Porter a salary of GBP9ph for a Term Time Contract hours
