Location - Cheshire (Regular travel to other DCC sites would be required)

The DCC is actively seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated Operations Release Manager for the opportunity to join one of the most talented and dynamic teams in the UK supporting this prestigious programme.

The Operational Release Manager (ORM) will be responsible for the definition of maintenance releases and their subsequent transition from development through test to the point of Operational Acceptance into the live environments. Using the principles within LSO Orchestration the ORM will ensure centrally managed releases through the whole ecosystem, always looking to automate where possible and constantly improving process to reduce time and effort.

They will be responsible for monitoring the progress of all in-flight maintenance releases, including impacts and changes in their content, also the provision of data for reporting purposes including for the Forward Schedules of Change published to Customers and any required Management Information reporting.

What you will do:

* Provide Centralised Management and Orchestration of maintenance releases across the whole DCC service.To act as the main point of contact for other stakeholders involved in the maintenance release process, both within and outside of the DCC.
* Manage the collection and distribution of DCC input to published lists of release candidates.
* Produce the information required for publication in the Forward Schedule of Change.
* Maintain regular contact with all stakeholders to keep abreast of, and assess impact of, any changes to release plans outside of the normal meetings cycle.
* Work closely with other Operational teams whose work impacts releases, including OCIM, Change, Incident Management and Problem Management.
* Liaise with the DCC Release Management Programme with respect to larger scale releases and how they might impact maintenance releases.
* Be fully informed of all Regulations which impact release management
* Production of all required Management Information reports pertaining to the process.
* Continuously improve the Maintenance Release process, working with the Service Design team where necessary to develop an enduring process

Your experience will include:

* Release management within Operational environments and associated best practices
* Good working knowledge and experience of Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO)
* Good working knowledge of ITIL, particularly the Service Transition phase
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Strong communication and reporting skills
* Ability to build good working relationships within the DCC, with our service partners and with Customers
Desirable:

* ITIL accreditation
* Experience of Smart metering
