Badenoch & Clark are delighted to have partnered with a housing association in West Yorkshire to find a Planning Manager for planned works on a fixed term contract basis for 12 months to work out of their offices in Huddersfield.
Role
The main purpose of the role is the planning of resources for planned programmes or repairs work so needs strong planning skills, ideally Microsoft Office Project with cost and financial control experience.
Core duties & accountabilities
Direct all operational aspects of relevant business/service area.
• Plan, co-ordinate and deploy resources and workload appropriately to meet service and business demands.
• Work collaboratively with General Managers and other Team Leaders to monitor, analyse and deliver improvements across all relevant performance indicator areas in order to increase customer satisfaction.
• Key Liaison with internal/external designer, engineers and technical surveyors during the design and specification process
• Lead officer to co-ordinate and manage all pre-construction activity in accordance to the project plan
• Key Liaison with colleagues in Building Control and Planning, ensuring compliance to all matters arising
• Key Liaison with H&S colleagues ensuring compliance to CDM 2015, general H&S and standing orders
• Key Liaison with Procurement colleagues to ensure Labour/Plant/Materials/Services are secured in accordance to budget, specification and project timescales
• Establish deliverable baseline project programmes and regular progress updates
Candidate requirements
• Construction Based qualification, CIOB/RICS or working towards (Highly Desirable)
• SMSTS (Highly Desirable)
• CSCS Construction Project Manager (Highly Desirable)
• Experience of planning resources for large programs of planned works
• Budget allocations and management within a planned works setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to interact effectively and sensitively, in person, via the telephone and in writing with a range of stakeholders, internal and external
• Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering targets and goals within operational plans
• Ability to understand the importance of budgetary control and proactively manage budgets
