Production Manager Printing, Walsall, West Midlands

The Company are one of the largest envelope manufacturers and overprinters within the UK, producing over 2 billion envelopes per annum at their production facilities.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking candidate who is capable of Managing their overprint and Repro Departments. The candidate must be willing to work a shift system.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising production employees in the Overprint & Repro Departments
• Overseeing and adjusting the production schedule
• Morning meetings to go through jobs
• Occasionally carrying out site surveys
• Designing signage and graphics for certain clients
• Producing quotations
• Sourcing products, stock control and ordering materials
• Assist in organising production schedules
• Organising maintenance engineers and service contracts
• Assisting and supervising training.
• Provide a proactive, problem solving approach to the tasks at hand, problems and identify and solve issues before they have an impact
• Good communication skills and work as part of the team
• Flexible and willing to work...

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous senior level management experience - within the Envelope production industry is ideal
• Negotiation skills to buy materials to keep within budget and time constraints
• Ability to communicate effectively within different levels of peers - team, managers and clients
• Computer literate to deal with various software programmes and technologies
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
